Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Parts Work:

Healing from Within

You are More Than Your Symptoms

Have you ever said, "A part of me wants to change, but another part of me is terrified to let go"? We all have an internal world made up of different "parts"—like a family living under one roof. Sometimes, due to past trauma or stress, these parts get stuck in extreme roles.

Anxiety might be a part trying to scan for danger. Depression might be a part trying to shut the system down to prevent further hurt. At Renewed Hope Therapy, I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you move from internal conflict to internal harmony.

Examples of Parts we may explore

In our work together, we get to know your internal system without judgment:

**There are No Bad parts

Connecting with Your "Self"

At the core of every person is the Self. The Self is not a part; it is your seat of consciousness characterized by the 8 Cs: Calm, Curiosity, Compassion, Confidence, Courage, Clarity, Connectedness, and Creativity.

The goal of our therapy is not to eliminate your parts, but to lead them. Using IFS, we help your "Protectors" (Managers and Firefighters) feel safe enough to relax, allowing you to witness and heal your "Exiles" from a place of compassion rather than fear.

How IFS Complements EMDR & ART

IFS provides the "map" for our sessions, while EMDR and ART provide the "engine" for reprocessing.
