Anxiety & Panic Attack Support: Reclaim Your Calm
Is Your Mind Constantly Three Steps Ahead?
Anxiety can feel like an uninvited guest that never leaves. Whether it’s the "background noise" of constant worry, the paralyzing fear of a panic attack, or the exhaustion of trying to control every outcome, anxiety keeps you from being present in your own life.
At Renewed Hope Therapy, I don't just teach you how to "manage" your anxiety—I help you understand why it’s there and work to resolve the underlying triggers.
Moving Beyond "Coping Skills"
While deep breathing and grounding have their place, they often act as a temporary bandage. My goal is to help you reach a state where you don't need to constantly manage symptoms because the root cause has been healed.
How we work through anxiety:
EMDR 2.0 for Anxiety: We target the specific memories or future-fears that fuel your nervous system's "red alert" status. By decreasing the emotional charge of these triggers, your body can finally relax.
Breaking the Panic Cycle: Using ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), we can often shift the way your brain processes the physical sensations of panic, making them feel less threatening and far more manageable.
Calming the Internal Critic: Using Parts Work (IFS), we look at the "anxious parts" of your personality. Often, these parts are just trying to protect you; by understanding them, we can lower the internal tension.
Signs It’s Time to Reach Out
If you recognize these patterns in your life, you don't have to navigate them alone:
Physical Tension: Chest tightness, racing heart, or trouble sleeping.
"What If" Thinking: Constant rumination about the future or past mistakes.
Avoidance: Skipping social events or work opportunities to avoid feeling nervous.
Perfectionism: Feeling like you must be "on" at all times to prevent things from falling apart.
A Hopeful Path Forward
It is possible to wake up without that heavy feeling in your chest. With over two decades of experience, I provide a compassionate, expert-led space for Minnesota residents to find lasting relief from the grip of anxiety.
